It’s March right now which means we’re in that weird transition time between winter and spring. I am a sun and sand and warm weather person through and through. To me spring is a time of renewal, time spent outdoors, longer days, fresh food, lighter meals….and smoothies!
We’ve been having some warmer, sunnier days lately and my food choices are starting to transition too. Last weekend it was near 80 degrees which meant a smoothie was calling my name!
This nourishing strawberries and cream smoothie was super simple to make and honestly tastes closer to a milkshake than a health shake!
Strawberries And Cream Smoothie
1 cup frozen strawberries (I always choose organic when it comes to berries and greens)
Raw Pastured Egg Yolk – I like adding a raw egg yolk because they’re packed full of vitamins + minerals (only do this if you’re using pastured eggs!)
1t Maple Syrup -optional
Water – add enough to get the consistency you desire
2T Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides – add this last
Add strawberries, coconut cream, egg yolk, maple syrup and water to the blender of your choice
Then add collagen peptides last
Blend until smooth
